Site Manager.

Day-to-day delivery on a commercial or industrial site: the programme, the trades, safety, quality, and the client walking through on a Thursday. Sites range from an occupied office floor being refitted after hours to a distribution facility that cannot stop dispatching while we build.

What you get.

  1. Procurement exposure on your own project

The person who has to sequence a trade is the person best placed to say what the package should have asked for.

  2. Work that is not the same building twice

  3. A real safety system

Run through a controlled digital record.

  4. A direct line to the director

  5. An answer on your application within one week

What you will do.

  • Run the daily programme and the trade sequence, and call the clash before the trade does
  • Own site safety: inductions, take fives, SWMS review and a toolbox run properly rather than as paperwork
  • Hold quality at the point it is built, with the inspection and test plan live rather than retrospective
  • Keep the site diary, the photographic record and the daily labour and weather record, because they are what a delay claim rests on
  • Sit in the procurement conversations for your own project
  • Manage occupied-site constraints: dock bookings, lift access, after-hours windows, noise and dust

What the role asks for.

Well regarded, not required: supervisor registration in the relevant state; experience on a site that stayed open and trading through the works; laboratory, clinical or containment fitout experience.

  • Five years or more in a site management role on commercial or industrial sites in Australia
  • A trade background or a construction qualification, and a completed project record you can talk through in detail
  • Working knowledge of the National Construction Code and the Australian Standards that apply to your trades
  • Able to read a documented set and pick the clash before it is built
  • Current White Card and First Aid
  • The right to work in Australia

Incomplete is fine. The address alone tells us the zone, the authority, the building and usually the constraints. Acknowledged the same business day, and a scoping call or a considered answer within two.
